Sigma Cloud

Rochester, NY

CLI Scope: Design / Fabrication

Referred to as a cloud, this suspended overhead steel system functions as the conduit to bring light to task and traffic flow areas, bypassing the exposed utilities in the ceiling. The design responded to the need for on-site assembly and installation in a confined space.

As opposed to traditional wood cloud construction, 13 ga panels and 3-inch square-tube nodes were assembled into units on the floor below and lifted into place where the final members were added and connections made.

Custom-designed perforated light fixtures were also made for all of the adjacent office spaces.
