Laser Welding

Laser welding provides high speed, low heat input fusion welding for thermally sensitive or magnetic enclosed parts. The precise control, high energy density of a laser allows us to provide weld penetration as low as .010" up to .225" depth in a wide variety of similar and dissimilar materials. Since it is a fusion weld, neither fluxes, fillers, nor contaminates are introduced into the weld zone.

Custom Laser also offers laser welding as one of its many laser services. Laser welding is ideal for similar and dissimilar materials alike. Some advantages of laser welding include; small width-to-root ratio, a magnetic field does not affect beam, low heat input, minimal distortion, a higher rate of speed compared to conventional welding, and no fillers or fluxes.
